Up to 7.1 channels
The sound card impresses with its versatility thanks to 8 channels. It enables excellent reproduction of stereo to 7.1 surround sound, making it an all-rounder for music, home cinema, gaming and much more.
Extremely high resolution
The sound card supports PCM signals up to 192 kHz and 24 bit on all 8 channels. This means it can reproduce a dynamic range of up to 144dB, which is many times the dynamic range of a CD or record!
Digital outputs
The signals are output digitally via 4 optical outputs (TOSLINK), with each output supporting 2 channels.
As a rule, 2 identical digital active speakers can be connected together so that only one speaker needs to be connected directly to the sound card.
Maximum flexibility and future-proof
You can expand the sound card with additional inputs and outputs. You can connect up to 6 expansion cards for input and output.
Plug & Play
You can easily connect the sound card to your PC using a USB cable. The appropriate drivers are already pre-installed on most operating systems so that you can use the sound card straight away.
Sophisticated accessories
With the PCIe slot bracket, for example, you can also easily install the sound card in a PC case. With a stylish case, you can build your perfect high-end system that exactly meets your needs. Let’s go!
Expansion card 'DSC8 · SPDIF IN'
Simply connect the expansion card to the sound card using the ribbon cable supplied and you have 6 additional inputs. It’s that simple!
PCIe slot bracket
The PCIe slot bracket is made of high-quality stainless steel. With the slot bracket, you can install the sound card in a normal PC housing - ideal for building a so-called Home Theater PC (HTPC)!
USB3 adapter for motherboards
With this adapter and a suitable USB cable, you can connect the sound card directly to a mainboard in the PC housing, provided that a corresponding USB3 connection is available on the mainboard - ideal for a so-called Home Theatre PC (HTPC)!
Fiber optics
This light guide can then be used to guide the light from Power-LED out of a customized housing. The light guide is transparent. The surface of the light outlet is diffuse.

Further requirements for the computer hardware, such as CPU or main memory, depend on the requirements of the operating system used. These can be found in the operating instructions for the operating system.
-
Typically, the sound card is supported by all modern operating systems. The following is an overview of the operating systems tested with the results:
-
Linux, Kernel 3.0 or newer (available since 2012): This operating system supports all features of the sound card and all expansion cards.
-
Windows 10, Release 1703 or newer (available since 2017): The sound card can be used immediately after connection. The installation of drivers is not required.
Expansion cards for the sound card are only supported to a limited extent by this operating system. Output expansion cards can be connected. However, their outputs cannot be switched off. Input expansion cards are not supported.
Further details can be found in the manual. -
macOS 10.14 or newer (available since 2018): The sound card can be used immediately after connection. The installation of drivers is not required.
Expansion cards for the sound card are only supported to a limited extent by this operating system. Output expansion cards can be connected. However, their outputs cannot be switched off. Input expansion cards are not supported.

Simplified 3D model
With the help of this 3D model, you can easily model your own housing for the sound card, for example. The light guide for the Power-LED can be switched on and off in the 3D model if required. The model is available in STEP format. You can open the file with a program such as FreeCAD.
